Butea monosperma
The area of plants - from Pakistan to Vietnam, from the north is limited to the foothills of the Himalayas in the south - Thailand and Malaysia. It is also found on the islands of western Indonesia.

Plant - tree of medium height (15 m), with pinnate leaves up to 20 cm, flowers - bright orange or red, with petals 2.5 cm in racemes up to 15 cm in length. During the bloom resembles a brush fire. Butea monosperma - very drought-resistant plant, but does not withstand cooling.

Butea monosperma used as fuel for medicinal purposes. Resin manufactured rubber, wood - tannins. Calculation of the same collecting gum trees.

Butea monosperma was glorified by Rabindranath Tagore.

Earlier butiyu monosperma belong to the genus erythrite.
